Window Film applied to the windows in your home or office has many of the same benefits as Auto Film but on a greater scale. Windows are nice to look outside and see the scenery, but they let in in ALOT of sunlight, UV light & heat energy. Clear and Tinted Films are available in several thicknesses to help reduce the risk of broken glass. 

Window film also helps reduce damage caused by hurricanes & windstorms, but is not hurricane proof.

It adds strength to the glass and the window unit which makes it harder to break and holds glass pieces together longer in a storm or during a break-in than an unfilmed window. The use of window film cannot be thought of as the 'be all end all' solution to break-in and hurricanes, but it is a very effective preventative measure, plus it looks better than a piece of wood or a steel cage over a window. A tinted Safety Film also provides similar benefits of residential/commercial films plus added security.
